People kept mistaking my first book, Marilia, the Warlord for a YA novel. While some young adults (particularly older high school students) could certainly get something out of it, it wasn’t specifically intended that way…and the rest of the series even less so. I thought maybe the cover helped give the wrong impression, so here is a new (albeit similar), more serious cover! A few pet peeves I always had (that Marilia was way bigger than the silhouettes on my other covers; that some of the stars were a bit cheesy in their twinkling) have finally been addressed. Fans of the original cover can always reach out to me for a copy…
Let me know what you think! Better? Worse? Just different? Designing it was a real challenge, given I work on an old laptop with poor color quality. Lots of blue/red tweaking involved…
